Ted was born and raised in Corning, Iowa and obtained both his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Law Degree from Drake University. Ted began practicing law in Des Moines, Iowa in 1990 and has amassed vast experience representing individuals and families in various areas of law over the years.

Ted has represented in excess of five hundred individuals in all areas of Family Law. His Family Law clients have included business owners, executives, and highly paid professionals. He has tried hundreds of Family Law cases and settled even more. Ted is a certified Family Law mediator and has great insight on both sides of Family Law disputes. He understands when to settle and when to “take the gloves off”. 

Personal Injury has been another area of focus for Ted over the years. He has represented individuals and family members who have loved ones have been injured and killed in automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents and in other manners by no fault of their own. He has experience resolving Personal Injury matters in the court room, in mediation and by arbitration. Ted understands what it takes to resolve Personal Injury matters favorably for his clients.
Ted has extensive experience in the area of Criminal Law. He has represented hundreds and hundreds of people charged with crimes. He has tried cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to murders in both State and Federal Court. He has great knowledge of the intricacies of Criminal Law. 

Since 2011 Ted and his partner Rod Maharry have established a flourishing Property and Probate practice in their Corning office. Together they own Corning Title Company, the sole title and abstracting company in Adams County. 
When in need of legal advice or representation the experience of the attorney is of upmost importance. The experience needs to be balanced with logical, rational and honest advice. Ted brings all of these necessary elements to the table.
